This site lists the supply yards and nurseries near you so homeowners and contractors can see them in one place. Listings are free. We don't mark up material, and no yard paid to be here. When the marketplace sends a claimed yard an order, the yard pays 2% of the order, or 2.5% if you run Complete, flat; the buyer never pays a fee, and today, while buyers pay at the counter, no fee changes hands at all.
Our fetcher identifies itself as Pilebase/1.0 (+https://pilebase.io/listings; info@pilebase.io). It reads only public pages, honors robots.txt, fetches each page at most once a week with seconds between requests, and keeps a log of every fetch. If a site asks not to be read, we don't read it.
On a yard's page you can say your order instead of typing it. The speech is turned into words by your browser's own speech service, not on your phone and not by us: Chrome sends the audio to Google, Safari sends it to Apple, under their terms. We receive only the words that come back, match them against the material names and yard names we already hold, and show you the result to check before anything is placed. Nothing is ordered by voice alone; you tap to confirm, and you can always type instead. If a browser has no speech service, the microphone button does not appear.
This site exists to send you customers. Here's the whole deal: listing is free, claiming is free and runs on a code emailed to the address your own site publishes (or read to you over the phone), and orders arrive straight to you with one-tap confirm. If anything here is wrong, tell us and we fix it the same day, and never more than two business days. If you want your listing removed, say so and it comes down within one business day, normally within hours, no questions asked.
