Where this stands
This document is published for review and is not in force. Nothing on this site asks anybody to accept it, and no advertising is being sold while it says this.
What you are buying
A labelled block, on pages of a stated kind, for a stated period. The block is marked Paid wherever it appears. It carries your business name, your own copy, optionally your own image, and a link to your own address.
A flat fee for a dated run. You are not buying a number of views, a number of clicks, a share of a page, or a position relative to any other advertiser.
What you are not buying, and cannot buy
A position in any result. The order buyers see is distance and nothing else. It cannot be bought, improved, influenced or reordered, at any price, and no advertiser has ever been offered otherwise.
Space beside a comparison you appear in. If you are a supply yard, your ad does not run on pages that list, compare or show supply yards. That rules out most of the pages that carry advertising at all. Read the advertising policy before you buy anything, because it describes where your ad can actually appear, and for a supply yard that is a short list.
Any change to how your listing is treated. Advertising is separate from your listing, your claim, your rate and your software. Buying it changes none of them and declining it changes none of them.
Views, clicks, or any promise about either. We do not guarantee that anybody sees your ad.
There are no statistics about your ad, because nothing about it is counted
Pilebase records nothing when an ad is shown. No impressions, no clicks, no per ad figures, for anybody, ever. This is not a feature we have not built yet.
It is the same position that applies to every other surface on this site: no analytics company, no tracker, no script that follows anybody, and nothing counted per person. What Pilebase does keep is a daily tally of how often a yard page, a material comparison, a search, a price question or an order happened, on Pilebase's own servers, with no identifier of any kind in it: no cookie, no address, no session, no account and no row about a person. None of that is per ad, none of it is per person, and none of it could be turned into a report about you.
So you will not be sent a report, and there is none to ask for. If a campaign report is what you are buying, this is not that product, and you should not buy it.
The fee
A flat fee for the dates agreed, invoiced and paid outside the platform. There is no card form here, no subscription and no automatic renewal. What the site holds is the date your run is paid through, and nothing else about the money.
The ad stops when that date passes. It stops by itself, on that date, without anybody remembering to stop it. Renewing is a new arrangement and a new date.
What your ad must be
Your copy is refused if it states or implies a price, a discount or a percentage; claims to be cheapest, lowest or best on price; names another business on this site; suggests Pilebase endorses, recommends, ranks or partners with you; describes itself as featured, recommended or top; hides your business name; or prints a phone number that is not your own published one. The advertising policy sets these out in full and is part of these terms.
You warrant that you own or are licensed to use every image you supply, and that your copy is true. A named person at your business records that warranty, with the date, before an image can appear. You indemnify us against a claim that an image or a statement you supplied was not yours to make.
Your destination link is yours. It must go to your own site or your own telephone number, and the page it reaches is subject to the same rules as the ad.
Refusal, changes and removal
We can refuse any ad, for any reason, before it runs. We can pull any ad, at any time, while it runs. If we pull one for a reason that is not your fault, or refuse a renewal, the unused part of the fee is refunded.
We can change these terms, and a change applies to a run agreed after the change rather than to one already paid for.
You can stop your ad at any time from your portal. Starting it again is a review, not a switch, because the copy is checked before anything runs.
What happens if we stop selling advertising
We can stop at any time. Runs already paid for are either finished or refunded for the unused part, at our choice, and nothing about your listing changes either way.
